The Seven Sacred Pools
West Maui West Maui

Nakalele Point and Blowhole
Located immediately after the valley near Honolua Bay, this natural wonder is a sight to see! If you would like, hike down to the blowhole and watch the water brought in by waves "erupt" through a hole in the lava shelf. Of course, the amount of water which "blows" into the air varies depending on tide levels and wave action.

Dragon's Teeth
This land structre, also known as Makalua-puna Point, was created from one of the last lava flows on the island of Maui. Different from other flow structres, the mass is fine-grained, lighter colored, and much denser. Its most striking distinction, of course, is that it appears to look like dragon's teeth as a result of the wind sweeping constantly over the point, sharpening the formation's appearance.

Iao Valley State Park
Both historic and breathtaking, this park is a sight you do not want to pass up. In the center of the park stands a vast, green covered stone -- the Iao Needle -- where one of the most famous battles in Hawaiian history occured. Here, in 1790, King Kamehamena I defeated the Maui Army in his passionate quest to unify the Hawaiian Islands.

Haleakala and UpcountryHaleakala & Upcountry

Haleakala National Park
From the cold, barren heights of a 10,000 foot volcanic peak to the warm Pacific water -- Haleakala National Park is home to everything which can amaze you. With countless activities, this park offers guests anywhere from hours to days of worthwile entertainment and education.

Oheo Gulch - Seven Sacred Pools
Given a collection of names, Oheo Gulch is most often referred to as the Seven Sacred Pools. What is intriguing about this notable location, however, is that there are far more than seven pools, several of which flow from one another -- sometimes by waterfall.

Wailua Falls
Most admit that this impressive 200 foot water fall, surrounded by lush vegetation, is one of the sights you "must see" in Maui. Hugging the roadside, it is easily accessible although it is best remembered if you take a short hike to the mossy base of this wonderous fall.

Garden of Eden, a Botanical Arboretum
This garden, most famous for its debut in the opening sequence of Jurassic Park, is located half of a mile past marker 10 on the Highway to Hana. With hopes to restore the area's natural ecosystem, the land was purchased in 1991, filled with indigenous plant species, and has been attracting countless visitors ever since.
